Dave Campbell's Texas Sports partners with H-E-B and Schoolfundr to recognize Texas high school seniors for their achievement, leadership and community service. Explore both scholarship opportunities below.

H-E-B UIL Scholarships


For the eighth consecutive year, H-E-B will award 15 high school seniors who participate in UIL competitions a $2,000 scholarship in recognition of their community service and involvement in their communities.


Five students who compete in athletics (including cheer), five students who compete in music, and five more students who compete in academic events will be selected from the pool of applicants from across the state.


H-E-B will award each selected student a $2,000 scholarship toward the college or university of their choice. Recipients will be spotlighted during the 2026 UIL Texas Girls & Boys Basketball State Championships.


Requirements: You must be a current Texas high school senior graduating in 2027 with a minimum 3.3 GPA, have participated in a UIL competition as a high school student and have been active in community service programs or events.


Applicants must complete the online application form and submit all supporting documents at the same time. Here's what you'll need to apply for 2026-27 consideration:


  • Current GPA
  • Number of community service hours in the last 12 months
  • Community service verification letters documenting the hours submitted
  • A letter of recommendation
    • Note: If your school or organization prohibits giving the scholarship applicant their letter of recommendation or service verification letters, submit them here.
  • A short essay (500 words or less) on the topic: "What does Community mean to you?"

Schoolfundr UIL Scholarships


The UIL and Schoolfundr are proud to partner on the Impactful Leader Scholarship, spotlighting one high school senior per sport with a $500 scholarship to the college or university of their choice. (In sports where boys and girls compete, one boy and one girl will each win a $500 scholarship.)


Applications are open throughout the school year and close Monday, June 1, 2027.


Nominations come from administrators, athletic directors, coaches, counselors and teachers. Requirements: Your student must be a current Texas high school senior graduating in 2027 and must have participated in a UIL competition as a high school student.


Applicants must complete the online application form. Applications for the 2026-27 school year are now OPEN.
