Mike Gerik
Inducted: 2026
Mike Gerik was instrumental in securing Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Companies as the title sponsor of the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame. He has championed the Companies’ commitment to supporting student-athletes, teachers, and coaches across the state.
Under his leadership, Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Companies became visible and dedicated to supporting Texas high school athletics—sponsoring the UIL State Championships and UIL Lone Star Cup, the THSCA Coach of the Year Awards and ROCK Mentoring Program, Dave Campbell’s Texas Football, and the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame and Induction Banquet.
While being a long-time supporter of the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame, Mike served in various roles during his 44-year career at Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Companies. He became the Executive Vice President of the Companies in 2009. His certifications include the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)—rated as the most valuable credential for demonstrating insurance and leadership skills—and ARe, a professional designation focusing on reinsurance risk management, contracts, and treaty knowledge.
He also received the Raymond Mauk Leadership Award for his notable contributions to the Texas property and casualty insurance industry.
Mike and his wife, Cyndi, have been blessed with two sons and two daughters-in-law, as well as four amazing grandchildren.
