Dave Campbell's Texas Football's Local Hero Award presented by Layne's Chicken Fingers celebrates the unsung heroes behind Texas high school football. These are the community members who show up week after week, pour into their programs, and never ask for the spotlight. The coaches, volunteers, boosters, and supporters who make Friday nights possible.

Each game, one deserving Local Hero is recognized with a commemorative award and a $500 donation presented on-field, courtesy of Layne's Chicken Fingers, in honor of their dedication and impact on their community. Congratulations to all our Local Hero Award winners. Texas high school football wouldn't be the same without you.
