6A: Waco Midway
Waco Midway was hard to figure out early in the season. The Panthers had a signature 28-21 win over 12-time state champion Aledo in Week 2, but then lost 39-34 to Cedar Park the next week. But it turns out Cedar Park might just be a wagon. The Timberwolves are 8-0 with wins over A&M Consolidated, Hutto, and Austin Vandegrift. So, I think it’s time to forgive that Cedar Park loss and treat Waco Midway as a serious playoff contender.
