JUST IN: Class 3A TXHSFB team cancels remainder of 2026 season
Injuries and dwindling numbers force the Keene Chargers to shut down their inaugural UIL varsity football season after just four games.

Just four weeks into their debut season playing UIL football, the Keene Chargers, in an email to their District 6-3A Division I opponents, announced they would be cancelling the remainder of their 2026 schedule and their entire 2027 varsity football schedule.
In the email, Keene AD/HFC Ethan Stepp cited a high number of injuries and a lack of available players as the reasons for the cancellation.
