Celina ISD made it official on Tuesday morning by hiring Wichita Falls Memorial head coach Marc Bindel as the next head coach at Celina High School. Bindel replaces Bill Elliott, who retired in mid-January.
Bindel and new Celina ISD athletic director Brent Whitson are charged with leading Celina into Class 5A and rehabilitating the image of an athletic department rocked by charges of sexual abuse by a former Celina ISD coach.
