Skyler Cassity bringing Sam Houston assistants with him to North Texas

Sources say former Sam Houston assistants Greg Richmond (DE), Julian Wilson (DB), Ike Eguae (DL), and Reggie Johnson (LB) are expected to follow Skyler Cassity to North Texas. Mean Green assistant Brian Odom staying on.

North Texas hired Sam Houston defensive coordinator Skyler Cassity earlier in the month after relieving Matt Caponi of his duties after the season. The Sam Houston defense helped the Bearkats win 9 games and reach their first FBS bowl game. The Mean Green defense was one of the worst in FBS over the first two seasons of the Eric Morris tenure.
