Flip Season: Four Texas High School Football Prospects to Watch Closely
A few TXHSFB standouts are drawing attention for potential flip scenarios, including WR Daylan McCutcheon, DB Zay Gentry and LB Kaleb Burns.
WR Daylan McCutcheon (6'0, 175) - Lovejoy: McCutcheon, the No. 20 prospect overall in the 2025 DCTF Rising Hot 100, is one of the highest-rated commitments in Florida State's class, which could be on the verge of collapsing in the face of the Seminoles' 1-3 start and losing McCutcheon would be a severe blow. The Longhorns, along with programs like USC and SMU, were heavily involved in his recruitment before he pledged to Florida State in July, and all three programs have continued to stay in close contact. We anticipate that the four-star will be making some visits soon.
