Sonny Dykes ejected from Iron Skillet game – a breakdown
TCU Horned Frogs head coach Sonny Dykes was ejected from the Iron Skillet against his former school, SMU Mustangs, after two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties.
The CW Network interviewed WWE star Trick Williams to open the second half of the Iron Skillet game between TCU and SMU. Moments later, TCU head coach Sonny Dykes had a heel turn that would've made Williams jealous.
SMU held a commanding 41-21 lead out of the break with three non-offensive touchdowns, the most since 2012. TCU responded with one of its own on the first play of the third quarter when Jordyn Bailey returned the kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown. Before Bailey crossed the end zone, Dykes was sprinting down the sidelines with his arms in the air, indignant at a holding call on Kaleb Elarms-Orr.
