TXHSFB Recruiting Tales from the Road: Five Impressive Prospects We Saw in Week One
Our week one Texas high school football prospect notebook, including Texas Longhorns commit Kaliq Locket and Ohio State Buckeyes commit Riley Pettijohn.
Texas Commit Shines in Loss
2025 WR Kaliq Lockett (6'2, 175) - Sachse: The Texas Longhorns commit showed he's the real deal in a week one matchup against Coppell, despite his team's loss. Lockett was nearly impossible to cover, consistently winning 50-50 battles, even against a Power 5-caliber defensive back. With his long arms and knack for high-pointing the ball, he made some jaw-dropping sideline catches that were the offensive highlights of the night. Lockett finished with an impressive stat line of eight catches for 146 yards, including a spectacular one-handed 60-yard touchdown catch and run. - Greg Powers
