Galena Park North Shore has dominated the region the past few years in Division I and knocking them off may be a tall task, while district rival Humble Summer Creek was the surprise winner in Division II, where things look to be much more wide open in 2024.
17-6A has a new addition as Cy Falls moves over from 16-6A and the Golden Eagles should slide right in and challenge for the district crown despite their youth. Despite losing a massive senior class of 52 seniors, Cy-Fair on tradition alone gets the nod for the district title, but Stratford is right on their heels. Jersey Village and Houston Memorial will be locked in a real battle for the final playoff spot, if Memorial gets in that will slide Cy Falls into the Division I bracket potentially.
