Hamshire-Fannett wins Division II Texas 7-on-7 State Tournament Title
Hamshire-Fannett wins the Golden Triangle's first ever Texas 7-on-7 State Tournament championship with an 18-0 shutout win over Dumas
COLLEGE STATION - - Hamshire-Fannett brought home its first Texas 7-on-7 State Tournament title with an 18-0 shutout over surprising Dumas in the Division II bracket on Friday.
“It feels great to win the championship," QB Ty Bryson said. "We’ve worked really hard all summer to get it done. We had a big sense of urgency on offense with the shortened games. We wanted to come out quick, but our defense was the MVP in the championship. Pitching a shutout in 7-on-7 is amazing."
