Gunter wins championship rematch against Tidehaven for DIII crown
The Gunter Tigers, led by senior quarterback Preston Tarpley and defensive back Reid Thomas Brackeen, defeated the Tidehaven Tigers 20-14 in the Division III State 7-on-7 Final.
COLLEGE STATION -- The referees left the field and grabbed a shot of water in the waning moments before the State 7-on-7 Division III final. Tidehaven wanted to up the stakes after falling 30-14 in AT&T Stadium.
