What Stone Earle's departure means for North Texas
North Texas Mean Green quarterback Stone Earle has left the program, likely cementing TCU Horned Frogs transfer Chandler Morris as the starter. But how does Earle's departure impact the quarterback room?

Chandler Morris didn't transfer to North Texas to be a backup quarterback. A week after his arrival on campus, Stone Earle has left the program, sources confirmed to DCTF. The departure was first reported by JD Davis of Mean Green Sports.
Earle beat out another transfer named Chandler last fall, touted ULM product Chandler Rogers, and earned a captain's designation. But head coach Eric Morris made a change after an 0–2 start, and Rogers piloted the American Athletic Conference's best offense. At season's end, Earle opted to return to Abilene Christian, where he started his career. Earle reversed course to compete for the North Texas starting job, however, once Rogers transferred to Cal.
