Pampa head coach joining staff of defending state champion
Pampa athletic director and head football coach Cody Robinson returns to his native East Texas to join the staff at Gilmer as an assistant coach.

In news first reported by Kale Steed of Press Pass Sports, Pampa athletic director/head football coach Cody Robinson announced his resignation on Monday after three seasons at the helm for the Harvesters. Robinson is departing Pampa to join the staff at defending Class 4A-Division II state champion Gilmer as an assistant coach.
Robinson, who is an East Texas native, has spent the past few years out in West Texas. Prior to taking over at Pampa, he served as the defensive coordinator under Joe Cluley, who, ironically enough, also made the move east a couple of years ago as he’s now the athletic director/head football coach at Mount Pleasant High School.
