FRISCO - The Lone Star Conference women’s quarterfinals provided multiple storylines, from injury concerns to teams making a statement in their first appearance inside the Comerica Center to something not seen at the LSC tournament since 2002, and concluded with the first triple-overtime contest in women's tournament history.

No. 3 seed UTPB wasted no time announcing its arrival at the LSC women’s basketball tournament. The Falcons opened the quarterfinal action with a dominating 71-51 victory over No. 6 seed Angelo State. The game was the third consecutive contest between these programs, with each team winning on its home floor last week.
