Bussey, Timpson shine under the bright lights for first state championship
Texas A&M commit Terry Bussey, Tyler Lane, and the rest of the Timpson Bears shone brightly under the lights of AT&T Stadium in a 49-7 victory to secure the first state championship in program history.
ARLINGTON – It only took Terry Bussey and company one half of football to re-write the Class 2A Division I state championship game record books. Due to their efforts, the Timpson Bears are celebrating its first state football title in school history.
The Bears, led by Terry Bussey and Tyler Lane, dominated both sides of the ball in a 49-7 victory over Tolar. The Timpson (16-0) defense set the tone from the beginning, not allowing Tolar to score until the third quarter.
