TXHSFB Linebackers Recognized as Butkus Award Semifinalists
Two of the highest-rated linebacker prospects in the state -- Georgia commit Justin Williams and Ohio State commit Payton Pierce -- have been named to the semifinalists list for the 2023 Butkus Award.
2024 Conroe Oak Ridge OLB Justin Williams (6'2, 210) and 2024 Lovejoy ILB Payton Pierce (6'1, 225) have been selected as semifinalists for the 2023 Butkus Award, which honors the top linebacker in the nation.
Williams, a Georgia commit, is rated as a five-star, checking in as the No. 1 OLB in the 2024 DCTF Rising Hot 100.
