McAllen (3-0) at PSJA North (3-0): It’s a district opening showdown in the RGV as unbeaten McAllen, which was a surprise regional semifinalist a year ago, takes on state-ranked PSJA North.
McAllen rolled past Mercedes, 35-9, last week as the Bulldogs defense put together their most complete performance of the young season. They’ll need that type of effort and then some this week to get past the Valley’s best team in PSJA North.
