Conroe (3-0, 1-0) at Willis (3-0, 1-0): It’s a big early season showdown in 13-6A as Conroe High heads north on I-45 to take on Willis in a game that should set the tone for the district race the rest of the year.
Conroe opened district play with a lopsided 42-9 win over Conroe Caney Creek last week. Dremekco Green led the Tigers with 140 yards on the ground and a pair of touchdowns. The Tigers will have their hands full this week on the road in Willis where they’ll contend with the state’s top QB in DJ Lagway, a Florida commit.
