Houston-area high school head coach headed to SFA
Stephen F. Austin head coach Colby Carthel used his ties to the Texas high school coaching ranks to add Klein Forest head coach Johnathan Wilson to the Lumberjacks staff.

Johnathan Wilson is leaving Klein Forest after spending the last three years as head coach and has accepted a job as running backs coach at Stephen F. Austin. Wilson departs his alma mater after turning the Golden Eagles program around in three short seasons.
Klein Forest broke a 19-game losing streak in Wilson’s first game on the sideline and finished 5-5 in his second season, which was the program’s first season at or above .500 in nine years. The Golden Eagles recorded another 5-5 record last year, marking the program’s first back-to-back records above .500 since the 2008 and 2009 campaigns.
