Misty Wilson out as Tarleton head coach

DCTB has confirmed that Misty Wilson will not return as Tarleton women’s basketball head coach. Wilson spent the last nine years in charge of the Texans and recently completed year three of a four-year transition to NCAA Division I. Wilson finishes with a 146-114 overall record. The university had no comment at this time.

The news is somewhat surprising, considering sources had indicated that Tarleton’s President, Dr. James Hurley, had committed to allowing every coach to finish the transition process before deciding their future with their respective program.
