State's No. 2 QB Michael Hawkins Jr. and his Brother Ruled Eligible at DEC Meeting
The District 3-5A district executive committee ruled that former Allen High School quarterback Michael Hawkins Jr. could transfer to Frisco Emerson.
The District 3-5A Division II Executive Committee met in Frisco to determine the eligibility of 2024 No. 2-rated quarterback Michael Hawkins Jr. (6'2, 185) and 2025 DB Maliek Hawkins (6'0, 160).
In a 5-1 vote, the DEC determined that the transfer was not for athletic purposes and that the Hawkins' brothers would be immediately eligible at Emerson.
