Franklin crowned 'Kings of 3A' in tight win over Brock to claim the Division I title

ARLINGTON – Death by 1,000 cuts. The Brazen Bull. Water torture. Franklin’s Slot-T. Pick your poison. Each is a slow route to oblivion.

The Lions extended their state-best winning streak to 32 games in a 17-14 win over Brock to win the Class 3A Division I title game and become the unquestioned kings of 3A. They won the Class 3A Division II title last season and have won 44 of their last 45 games. Franklin’s last loss was against Canadian on Dec. 17 of 2020 in the Class 3A Division II championship game. And that was by one point.
