Bowl season viewing guide for state of Texas programs, games
2022 college football bowl games that include Texas teams, like TCU vs. Michigan in the Fiesta Bowl, Texas Longhorns vs. Washington in the Alamo Bowl, and Texas Tech vs. Ole Miss in the Texas Bowl.
Nine of Texas’ 12 FBS programs received bowl invites after the conclusion of the 2022 regular season. TCU was the headliner after the Horned Frogs survived a loss in the Big 12 title game to Kansas State to finish third in the College Football Playoff ranking to earn a trip to the Fiesta Bowl and a date with Michigan in the national semifinals.
Each of the four in-state Big 12 schools are going bowling, as are the two programs – SMU and Houston – playing in the AAC. And three of the four C-USA teams received an invite to the postseason. The only Lone Star State teams to miss a bowl were Texas A&M, UTEP, and Texas State.
