ISO Spotlight: Why it's time to pay attention to UTEP WBB

Two years ago, UTEP went 17-8 on the season and 13-5 in conference play, with Kevin Baker's team looking like an emerging power in Conference USA. But last year, the program plummeted, going 14-15 overall and just 6-12 in CUSA, and then the team lost some key players to the portal, including point guard Katia Gallegos, who left for Tulsa.

But Baker's squad also added some key talent, including re-united former North Texas teammates N'Yah Boyd and Jazion Jackson, plus bringing back Sabine Lipe, who had previously been at UTEP before transferring to Northern Colorado.
