UTSA kicker Jared Sackett won Conference USA Special Teams Player of the Week. Sackett kicked the game winning field goal with three seconds left to complete an incredible 34-31 comeback win over in-state rival UTEP. Sackett also had a career long-tying 51-yarder late in the third quarter to pull UTSA to within one score after trailing 24-0 in the first half and 31-14 early in the second half. With his two makes, the senior from Fort Worth took over sole possession of  first place on the program's career field goals chart with 52. UTSA has now won double digit games in back to back years and with the Roadrunners’ victory over the Miners they finished a perfect 8-0 in CUSA play in 2022.
