Angelo State top seed in NCAA Division II playoffs
The Rams earned the top seed in Super Region Four and have earned a bye along with home field advantage.
The news of earning the top seed in Super Region Four was not a surprise to Angelo State when the NCAA Division II bracket was revealed on Sunday. They were all but guaranteed the top spot in the region before defeating Midwestern State 37-19 on Saturday. However, the win was important for the Rams.
The victory secured the Rams first undefeated season since the 1978 campaign that ended with the NAIA national championship.
