TCU’s Derius Davis wins Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week

TCU’s Derius Davis won Big 12 Special Teams player of the week after his performance in the Horned Frogs 34-24 victory over Texas Tech this past Saturday. Davis returned his first punt return attempt of the game for an 82-yard touchdown which proved to be crucial in the ten-point victory. It was Davis's fifth career punt return touchdown which is a new TCU record. Davis also recorded three receptions in the game including a 23-yarder for a touchdown. His six total special teams touchdowns is tied for the school record. 

The Horned Frogs next game will be in Austin this coming Saturday as they will face the Longhorns in a pivotal Big 12 matchup. Kickoff is set for 6:30 pm (CT).
