Texas’ Quinn Ewers wins Big 12 newcomer of the week for win over Oklahoma

Texas’ Quinn Ewers won Big 12 newcomer of Week 6 after returning from injury from the previous three games and leading Texas to a 49-0 win over Oklahoma in the Red River Showdown which was the largest margin of victory for either team in the rivalries' history. Ewers was 21-31 for 289 yards and four touchdowns and an interception. He led the Longhorns on seven touchdown drives in route to a day compiling 585 total offensive yards. This is Ewers first real season as a starting quarterback and is already playing with the composure of a multi-year starter.
