Texas 47 Week 5 update: Reality setting in for college football programs around the Lone Star State
Placing all 47 college football programs in the state of Texas into power tiers following Week 4 and heading into Week 5, including the Texas Longhorns, Baylor Bears, Texas Tech Red Raiders, SMU Mustangs and TCU Horned Frogs.
The herd is thinning at the top of the Texas 47 following a Week 4 that eliminated a few programs from national and conference contention. The Texas 47 places each of the college football programs into one of six tiers ranging from national title contender to the basement.
