Texas A&M punter Nik Constantinou was named the Southeastern Conference Special Teams Player of the Week earlier today after his performance in the 17-9 win over Miami in Week 3. This is the second time in his career Constantinou has earned this title.
Constantinou punted six times averaging just under 45 yards per boot. He pinned Miami inside their own 10-yard line a whopping three times. Miami ended up having an average starting field position of their own 20.3-yard line. Constantinou had a lot to do with that. And this is not exactly unfamiliar territory for Constantinou as this is the sixth time in his career he has pinned the opponent inside their twenty yard-line three or more times.
