Hurricanes’ Xavier Restrepo to miss game against No. 24 Texas A&M
No. 13 Miami will travel to College Station without star wide receiver Restrepo due to foot injury

No. 13 Miami will have to face Jimbo Fisher’s Aggie defense without its top receiving threat on Saturday night when the Hurricanes play No. 24 Texas A&M. Hurricanes’ receiver Xavier Restrepo will be out of action indefinitely after sustaining a foot injury, per reports. Restrepo leads the Canes in receiving with 11 catches for 172 yards and a touchdown. Miami will have to lean heavily on its young receiver room of Michael Redding III, Brashard Smith, and Key’Shawn Smith as they face off against a top 15 defense. The Aggies elite passing defense is only allowing 112.5 yards per game and rank third in the SEC in scoring defense, allowing 8.5 points per game.
This will be the fourth meeting all-time between the Aggies and the Hurricanes with Miami leading the series 2-1. Texas A&M is looking to bounce back from its 17-14 loss to App State a week ago. Miami is coming off a 30-7 victory against Southern Mississippi marking their second win of the season. The game will be broadcast on ESPN at 8 pm. CT on Sept. 17 in College Station at Kyle Field.
