Canadian vaccination restrictions cause relocation for in-state Lone Star Conference programs
Canadian vaccination requirements force Simon Fraser University to relocate home games against Texas Division II programs Angelo State, Texas A&M-Kingsville, West Texas A&M

The Lone Star Conference confirmed Tuesday afternoon that Simon Fraser University, located in Canada, will relocate four of its home games to Blaine High School in Washington “due to the Canada-USA border restriction that requires all visitors entering Canada to be fully vaccinated.” The Lone Star Conference is Division II.
Three of those games involve Texas programs – Texas A&M-Kingsville, Angelo State, and West Texas A&M. The game against Western New Mexico was also moved to Washington. The opener on Sept. 17 against Central Washington is the only game Simon Fraser will play at home in Burnaby, British Columbia. Simon Fraser travels to Texas twice in 2022 to face Midwestern State in September and Texas Permian Basin in October.
