North Texas linebacker KD Davis is never satisfied. The super senior linebacker would jokingly text the North Texas SID after watching film claiming a few extra tackles despite recording 121 of them during the 2021 season. That’s because Davis is eyeing the record books and an unmatched legacy as a Mean Green defender.
The North Texas record for tackles in a season is 143, which was set by Trent Touchstone in 1989. Davis’ 121 in 2021 placed him in a tie for seventh for the single season record. He’s at 289 total tackles in his four-year career. That puts him 97 stops away from becoming the all-time leading tackler in North Texas history.
