Longhorns gain commitment from Will Randle, a teammate of Arch Manning
Isidore Newman tight end Will Randle, a teammate of 2023 No. 1 recruit Arch Manning, pledged to the Texas Longhorns

Texas is all-in on the recruitment of 2023 quarterback Arch Manning, the nephew of Peyton and Eli. Manning, the No. 1-ranked recruit in the 2023 class, is the only quarterback offered by the Longhorns in the current recruiting cycle. Texas' chances of landing the young Manning rose Sunday afternoon when three-star tight end Will Randle pledged to the Longhorns. Both attend Isidore Newman in Louisiana. The duo were on Texas' campus over the weekend for official visits.
The 6-3, 220-pound Randle picked Texas over 10 other reported offers, including LSU, Alabama, and Miami. He’s the 34th-ranked tight end in the 2023 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports composite ranking. Randle was a flex tight end and an H-Back as a junior. He also plays basketball and did play baseball early in his prep career. Randle is the seventh commitment for Texas in the 2023 class, and the second tight end pledge over the last seven days. The Longhorns landed a commitment from fellow three-star tight end Spencer Shannon back on June 13. The current class ranks 23rd in the nation.
