Class of 2023: Top 5 Uncommitted WR Prospects in Texas
The 5 highest-rated wide receivers who remain uncommitted in Texas high school football, including Johntay Cook and Jaquaize Pettaway, Jalen Hale, Jaden Greathouse and Jonah Wilson.

Johntay Cook (6-0, 170) - Desoto: Cook has earned 40 scholarship offers from most of the country's elite programs, but he recently cut the schools he is considering down to five. Texas A&M, Michigan, Texas, Florida and Jackson State all remain and will be desperately trying to land Cook's committment. His combination of shifty speed and elite route-running will make him a valuable weapon wherever he ends up. Cook is ranked as the No. 4 overall player and No. 1 receiver in Texas.
Jalen Hale (6-2, 175) - Longview: Hale is the No. 6 overall player and No. 2 wide receiver in the state and currently holds 35 scholarship offers. He cut his list down to six schools in May, leaving only Ohio State, USC, Alabama, Georgia, Texas A&M and Texas. Hale is outstanding at coming down with contested catches and is also dangerous with the ball in his hands after the catch.
