2023 DCTF Top 100 RB Owen Allen Makes Waves in Week One Win
ARLINGTON, Texas -- Southlake Carroll and Highland Park opened the season at AT&T Stadium on national television, and 2023 running back Owen Allen helped guide the Dragons to a big 45-21 win.
Southlake Carroll entered the game with the top storyline as former DCTF No. 1 QB Quinn Ewers decided to forgo his senior year just weeks ahead of the season.
2023 Southlake Carroll QB Kaden Anderson (6'4, 205) grabbed many statewide headlines as he scored four touchdowns in his first game, but a key reason for Anderson's early success had to do with his backfield mate, 2023 RB Owen Allen (5'10, 180).
