North Waco will be alive on Friday night as local rivals La Vega and Connally hook up in what is always an entertaining showdown.
La Vega opened the year in style with an emphatic 51-21 rout of Katy Jordan, a young team that’s playing an outlaw schedule in 2021. The Pirates ground game has some new faces but the same results as Bryson Roland ran for 123 yards and two touchdowns, while Naje Drakes tallied 107 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
