Five Top Prospect Performances at the 2021 Texas State 7-on-7 Championships
A look at five top-rated prospects who had dominating or eye-opening performances at the 2021 Texas State 7-on-7 Championships in College Station. Who made the list?
2023 QB Jackson Arnold - Denton Guyer:
Arnold was already on the radar with double-digit offers, but this was a coming-out party for him on the national recruiting scene. He has firmly established himself as one of the best quarterbacks in his class nationally and is the front-runner to be rated as the No. 1 QB in the state (2023). Arnold helped lead Denton Guyer to the Division I consolation championship.
2023 WR Johntay Cook II - DeSoto:
Will be in the discussion for five-star status by the time it is all said and done. Cook is super smooth in and out of his breaks and rangy. He is also electric and twitchy in short-area bursts, giving him a combination of skills that make him difficult to cover. He has 32 offers, including Texas, Texas A&M, Alabama, Ohio State and Oklahoma. Katy Tompkins knocked out DeSoto.
