WBB Watch Guide 12-29: Basketball Is Back (Again)

The holiday break is over, and after a couple of games on Monday night to get us warmed back up for college basketball action, things really get going this week. It's conference play time for most teams, which means the games get tighter and things really start to matter.

For some conferences, the schedules will start to look a lot more uniform, with Conference USA and the Sun Belt both doing Friday/Saturday back-to-backs between the same two teams each week. We'll have a few more days each week with light slates — Wednesday and Thursday have a combined three games this week — but that just makes it easier to keep up with the games, right? Saturdays are also about to get really, really busy: 16 games are currently scheduled for this Saturday with Texas teams.
