According to our rankings, the top-ranked team most likely to go DII is No. 9 Denton Guyer (More of that later). Behind the Wildcats are No. 10 Cedar Hill, No. 11 Cypress Bridgeland and No. 12 Alvin Shadow Creek falling in line. Notice how I didn’t mention No. 4 Austin Westlake like in recent seasons, why is that? Well, to be perfectly honest, there’s a big possibility that the Chaps go DI and it would hinge on the Buda vs Austin Bowie matchup on the final week of the regular season. If the Rebels inch their way into the postseason, that’d kick Westlake up to the top division with rival Lake Travis.
