Preseason MVP: Kayla Wells became the Aggies’ go-to offensive leader when Carter was absent due to injury. In 2018-19, Wells was the SEC’s most-improved scorer, improving her 2.8 point-average the year prior.

The Ceiling: Texas A&M has been in search of an Elite Eight berth for the first time since the 2013-14 season. March 2020 was to be that run of destiny, led by Chennedy Carter. After two years prior having the season end in the Sweet 16, an Elite Eight appearance is likely the best anyone in Aggieland could hope for the program.

The Floor: There’s always the possibility that A&M cannot jell into a new offensive system without Carter’s elite-level production and fail to progress past the first round of the NCAA Tournament. But even so, the Aggies should still make The Dance with this squad.

Game of the Year: Texas
