Regional Outlook
The East Texas contingent starts off Region III and with Carthage down to Division II the door has opened for a new regional contender from the Piney Woods. That looks to be Lindale who moves down from Class 5A with a veteran squad that’s poised to do some major damage. The waters get muddy after that with five teams fighting for three playoff spots, the leaders are Kilgore and Henderson who despite heavy graduation losses have more pedigree. Chapel Hill. Palestine and Athens bring back a good amount of talent, but which of these three is most capable of breaking through?
