Report: SEC moves to conference-only football schedule
The SEC becomes the third Power Five league to move to a conference-only schedule, according to reports.
The SEC will play a 10-game, conference-only schedule according to a report from AL.com. The presidents reportedly voted on the measure on Thursday afternoon.
Under this plan, the league will start play on Sept. 26, with an SEC championship game occurring on Dec. 19. It’s unclear at this time how the league will handle a move from eight to 10 conference games.
