TAPPS delays start of Texas high school football season
The league’s football season was scheduled to begin on August 3, but announced Friday that the schedule would be pushed back more than a month.
In a move that could portend more changes to the 2020 Texas high school football calendar, TAPPS — Texas’ largest private school league — announced on Friday that their football season would be delayed by five weeks and truncated.

But in a meeting held virtually on Friday morning, TAPPS executive director Bryan Bunselmeyer said the schedule would be pushed back more than a month.
