ISO Spotlight: How Incarnate Word Knocked Off SFA
The Cardinals earned one of the biggest wins in program history on Saturday.

Incarnate Word has only been a Division I school since the 2013-14 season, and in that time the team has never won more than nine games in a season. So when head coach Jeff Dow called Saturday's 60-52 win over Stephen F. Austin — the first place team in the Southland and a school that UIW had never beaten — a "milestone win for our program," you know he wasn't just saying that.
In fact, you could call Saturday's win the biggest win for UIW since joining Division I, not only because of who they beat, but of how the victory signals continued improvement for a Cardinals team that now sits at 13-12 on the season with four conference games left to play. UIW currently holds the sixth seed for the Southland Conference Tournament, and while it hasn't mathematically clinched one of the eight tournament bids, it's looking more and more likely that the team will wrap one of those up soon.
