On Wednesday night, the TCU Horned Frogs almost did the impossible. While they ultimately lost to the Baylor Lady Bears 66-57, TCU looked like a team that had a chance to beat Baylor for the first time since 1990. With Baylor missing NaLyssa Smith (ankle), the Horned Frogs were able to keep it close throughout behind a strong effort from Kianna Ray and Lauren Heard. It looked like the Horned Frogs were on the verge of cutting it to a one-score game late after Lauren Heard appeared to have been fouled near the basket on a made shot, but the play ended up being ruled a charge, and TCU never found a groove the rest of the way.
On Sunday night, the Horned Frogs will get another chance to knock off a marquee opponent, as they host No. 25 West Virginia.
