2019-20 Abilene Christian Women's Basketball Preview

This year’s Abilene Christian looks a lot like last year’s team. If the Wildcats have the same result, coach Julie Goodenough will be happy.

ACU, which posted a 23-10 record in 2018-2019, finished fourth in the Southland Conference regular-season standings and then pulled off a stunning upset by winning the Southland tournament and earning the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament in just the school’s second year of being eligible for the NCAA Division I postseason. Unfortunately, the Wildcats had to face top-seeded and eventual national champion Baylor on the Lady Bears’ home court in the opening round, however. Baylor ran away from the Wildcats for a 95-38 victory.
