2019-20 SMU Women's Basketball Preview

There’s no doubt that 2018-2019 was a rebuilding year for Travis Mays’ squad as the Mustangs fielded one of the youngest teams in the nation a year ago. Four starters are back and there’s plenty of experience in the fold as SMU looks to try and get back into one of the top four spots in the American Athletic Conference.

“There’s always a lot of growth between the freshman and sophomore season," Mays said. "We played a lot of freshman a year ago and our team has grown up mentally and our team’s approach is much more mature."
